Today’s MLB DFS Picks: Advice, strategy for Thursday’s DraftKings, FanDuel daily fantasy baseball contests

first_imgOFA. Hicks (B)NYY@TORThu 7:07E. Jackson (R)$4100$3500$15UPGRADE Today’s MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings, FanDuel advice for Thursday, June 6SP: Jose Berrios, Twins @ Indians. The Indians had a good night on Wednesday, but Berrios is a different bread. The Indians rank 25th in OPS and wOBA and they’re 24th in wRC+ against righties. Berrios dominated the Indians in their one previous meeting this year throwing 7.2 scoreless innings while striking out 10. Berrios has back-to-back quality outings and has a very solid price tag across the industry.C: Kurt Suzuki, Nationals @ Padres. Whoever starts between Yan Gomes and Suzuki is fine. Suzuki is hitting .348 against LHPs, and both players have a .390 wOBA or better against them.MORE THURSDAY MLB: SP rankings1B: Ronald Guzman, Rangers vs. Orioles. I like both Guzman and Logan Forsythe in this spot, both of whom are 1Bs on FanDuel. David Hess has actually been far worse against righties, but he’s allowing 3.11 HR/9. Guzman has hit five of six HRs vs. RHP and has a .362 wOBA, while Forsythe sits at a .309 AVG and .392 wOBA.2B: Tommy La Stella, Angels vs. A’s. La Stella belted his 13th bomb of the year on Wednesday night, which is eight higher than his previous career best of five. He’s batting .348 over his past 10 games and has a .415 wOBA vs. RHPz and correlates well with Mike Fiers’ .332 mark vs. LHH.SS: Marcus Semien, A’s @ Angels. Semien has owned Tyler Skaggs throughout both of their careers, going 10-for-21 with two home runs and five RBIs. In general he’s been good against LHP this year, batting .281 with a .346 wOBA to boot.3B: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Blue Jays vs. Yankees. J.A. Happ has already allowed 13 home runs to righties across 48 innings. Think about that for a second. He’s been better on the road this year, but he still has a 4.18 ERA away from home. Guerrero went deep on Wednesday and is now hitting .316 over his past 10 games. 2BT. La Stella (L)OAK@LAAThu 10:07M. Fiers (R)$4000$3200$17See above OFD. DeShields (R)BAL@TEXThu 8:05D. Skaggs (L)$3500$2300$10UPGRADE OF: Michael Brantley, Astros @ Mariners. Everything about Rosario here screams home run. Trevor Bauer has really struggled against lefties this year, as his fly-ball and hard-hit rate are both elevated against them. Not only that, but his 5.75 xFIP suggests things may get worse. For more player recommendations and analysis, become a Fantasy Alarm subscriber today!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            Pos PlayerMatchupOpp. SPDKFDY! Analysis: Football Federation of B&H about past Qualifications

first_imgAnother qualification cycle for the A national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the qualifications for the European Championships in France, has ended.Unfortunately, the BH national team players did not manage to win against the national team of the Republic of Ireland in the playoffs and thereby once again make the BH citizens happy, especially the fans who supported them during every match. The desired result was not achieved, despite of the efforts by the Football Federation of B&H to stabilize the situation in the national team after the initial defeats in the qualifications. There was certain success in that after the arrival of Mehmed Baždarević as the coach of the national team; unfortunately, only until the matches of the playoffs in which the BH national team, in addition to all other unfavorable conditions, played bellow real possibilities. After going to the World Championships in Brazil in 2014, the fans and the Federation as well expected that the series of successes continues in the qualifications for EURO 2016, with understandable optimism. That did not happen. Due to this, the Federation, together with the coach and the players, expresses regret, as well as gratitude to the true fans, media and sponsors who supported the national team in all victories and all defeats, even in the most recent and the most painful defeat of all- by Ireland in Dublin. However, victories and defeats are an indispensable part of football game. The qualifications cycle for the European Champion will be analyzed in detail by the Football Federation and conclusions will be included in the future plans. At the same time, the Football Federation of B&H has already started planning the forthcoming obligations and working on new projects. Within the Federation there is complete unity and desire to maintain stable atmosphere that characterized the work of the umbrella house of football in B&H during past years. It has been shown that this approach yields results, and those results reflected primarily through going to the World Championships in Brazil, partly through the qualifications cycle for EURO (except for the playoffs), but also through organizational and financial consolidation and progress achieved in the Premier League of B&H and other competitions. There are intentions to maintain such attitude in the future as well. The Federation has a precise strategic work program and objectives that are to be accomplished. Members of the Federation leadership have a clear notion of strength and future of BH that they will strive to accomplish and realize with the support of professional teams, general public, media, and former and future sponsors. The ultimate aim is absolutely stable national football organization in B&H in which new talents will be given an opportunity for development and affirmation. There are plenty of new talents in B&H and they can rapidly become new stars such as Edin Džeko and other former and current national team players. (Source: klix.ba)last_img read more

Mirza Bašić in the Finals of Qualifications for Australian Open

first_imgMirza Bašić is in the third, final round of qualifications for the first Grand Slam of the season, defeating Marius Copil with 2:0 in sets.Copil entered this duel as quite favored. The player known for his exceptionally strong service defeated Bašić in the only match they played before this one, at the Challenger in Izmir last year, when the Romanian played better and the result was 2:0 in sets. However, Mirza played this match a lot better, more mature and more stable, making a break as much as four times during the match. Not all went that smooth, of course, but Mirza’s triumph was kind of insinuated as of the very beginning. Already in the first game Bašić made a break which he lost three games later. However, he made a new break immediately and another one by the end of the set for the leadership by 1:0.In the second set, both tennis players were secure in their service until the seventh game, when Copil made a break with a zero. Mirza did not fall and did not lose his focus; he made a re-break in the next game and led the set into a tie break which he won with a convincing result of 7:1. In the finals of qualifications Mirza will play against the Indian Saketh Myneni, 168th tennis player of the world. The other B&H tennis player who performed in the qualifications, Aldin Šetkić, this time did not manage to play good and he was eliminated by the Kazakh Alex Nedovyesov with 2:1 in sets.(Source: novovrijeme.ba)last_img read more

Actor and World Junior Champion in Kick Boxing comes from Sarajevo

first_imgBiH and Sarajevo in September got the world champion in kick boxing. Mirza Pramenkovic returned from the Irish Dublin as the best junior in the world.Emotions after winning the world gold in Dublin just recently fully settled down.“The final and semi-final battle especially remained in my memory. The final battle of course because I fought for the title, and I had a special experience in the semi-final, given that under the advice of my team, I did the first two rounds not so great. I was losing in the first two rounds because of this, but I won in the third round and it was a special experience. In the final, I went hard from the beginning,” said Pramenkovic.“Kick boxing in Sarajevo is widespread and young people love this sport. But they rarely decide to go to the professionals. When it comes to the support from the state – there is none. It takes a lot of resources for food, for training, for equipment, but young people still love this sport,” says Pramenkovic.BiH will, among other things thanks to result of Pramenkovic, organize the World Cup for seniors in kick boxing in 2019.“Currently, I am preparing and training for next year. I do not know if there will be any major competitions, because I am not planning to go on competitions where I’ve been already. On the smaller competition. I’ve already got one offer for Hamburg and we will see whether we will realize this. I am ready for any match, any opponent, at any time,” said Pramenkovic and added:“For one part, it is my merit that this World Cup will be held here. It is a great honor to host such a championship. It is the senior World Championship that will take place in 2019. This is the WAKO organization, the most powerful organization in kick boxing. It will be visited by many world fighters, athletes, coaches. These are some of the best coaches and athletes in this sport. There will be a large number of spectators and it is a big step forward for Sarajevo and BiH,” said Pramenkovic. His biggest support is his father, which is also his head coach.“I just want to thank my team, led by my father, who is my head coach. He always supported me, both financially and in any other way,” said Pramenkovic.(Source: Radiosarajevo.ba)last_img read more
